  • I use Squarespace because it’s a reputable provider. The interface is clean, modern, contemporary, and fresh! It's also affordable.

Squarespace is user-friendly, making it easy to maintain, and make changes and updates to your website yourself as required and whenever you want to.

In my opinion, it’s the perfect hosting platform for small businesses, especially allied health professionals.

  • After completing the Seed 'Website Planner' and 'Website Copy Guide', you’ll need to prepare:

    • All professional photos and images you'd like on your site (except stock images - which I will select for you. A huge range of beautiful stock images are included in your Squarespace subscription).

    • All text (website copy)

    • Social media account links/names

    • Branding assets (i.e., logo)

    • Domain name details

    • Email details

  • Of course! Your website will be custom designed for your business. Layout, colours, fonts, buttons, page titles, navigation links, logos, images, graphics, and icons will be personalised to reflect and represent your brand and preferences.

  • I typically book out 1-2 months in advance. If you’re wanting to work with together, fill out the enquiry form on this website, so we can get the ball rolling, and so that you can be sure to secure your spot.

  • Each project varies depending on your deliverables. New websites take 3-4 weeks to complete. Redesigning an existing website is 2 weeks. Single page websites generally take 1 week.

Completion times depend on how responsive you are with: completing the planner pack + copy workbook and your feedback for revisions.

My goal is to deliver your website in the specified timeframe. However, delays supplying content, material, and feedback will impact the handover date.

Timeframes may change slightly, but I’ll be sure to communicate this with you.

  • The ‘Website Planner’ + ‘Website Copy Guide’ is a 20-page document that is completed ahead of your optional 1hr virtual design + strategy consultation and prior to me starting your website build.

It has heaps of questions about your business, preferences, and your vision for your website.

It also helps you develop your copy (text) for your website.

  • Definitely, I absolutely recommend having professional photos done for your website. It makes all the difference and elevates the quality of your site. Professional photos help with brand consistency.

  • Sure can - each website package includes a simple logo.

However, I often recommend you outsource your logo and branding to a graphic designer, as they will be able to assist you with creating a branding kit which you can use across all your marketing (i.e., logos, flyers, business cards, etc) which I can incorporate into your website design.

  • Nope, Seed won't need anything more from you after you've paid for your chosen website package.

However, there are some additional things you'll need to pay for to maintain your website, domain, email, and booking software. These aren't included in Seed's website packages.

    • Squarespace plan/subscription: Paid monthly or annually. For information about prices, visit the Squarespace website here (between approximately $250.00-$600.00 annually). As a Squarespace Circle member, I pass on a 20% annual discount to you for your new Squarespace website subscription.

    • Domain registration or renewal: Paid annually (approximately $27.00)

    • Google Workspace email (if you choose to house your email with Google): Paid monthly or annually (approximately $330.00).

  • I recommend signing up to the Business plan (at least). This option allows you to access your site analytics, have an announcement banner at the top of your site, and have a promotional pop-up on your site (which the Personal plan doesn't include).

  • Seed's redesign service only applies to Squarespace websites.

If you're currently with another hosting platform (i.e., GoDaddy, Wix, Wordpress), you'll have to choose the Bloom website design package (new multipage website).

Your existing website can remain active and your copy (which you may choose to keep) from your current site can be transferred to your new Squarespace site. When your new website is ready to go live, your domain from your existing website will be transferred/connected to your new Squarespace site. Your previous site will no longer exist but instead be replaced with your new site.

  • You're welcome to keep your current domain you have registered. You can either transfer it from your current provider to Squarespace or connect it to your new site on Squarespace.

Alternatively, you can register a new domain name (I always suggest having a '.com.au' domain) if you want an additional one or a new one. You can take advantage of Squarespace's free domain offer.

All eligible Squarespace sites on an annual billing plan include one free custom domain for one year. This domain is free for the first year, starting from the date it's registered or transferred. This offer is valid within one year of signing up or switching to an eligible plan. More information can be found here.

  • You can absolutely keep your existing email address. You could take advantage of the offers Squarespace has.

Squarespace offers a free year of the Google Workspace Starter plan for one custom email address if you meet the eligibility requirements and sign up/upgrade to either the 'Website Business' or 'Website Commerce Basic or Advanced' plans.

  • Seed websites are built with SEO in mind. When a website is SEO ready, it is designed, structured, and organised to attract more traffic, so that it is high ranking and appears in popular search engines (i.e., Google) and can be found by potential customers and clients. It loads fast, works across devices (desktop, phone, and tablet), uses valuable key words, and has effective headers.

  • You will maintain full ownership of your website once it’s done. I’ll provide you with information about how to access all the important details for your website and links to instruction guides.

During the virtual handover, I'll show you how to make updates and changes to your site. This will help you maintain your website and make future updates yourself (no outsourcing required).

  • No, I don’t provide custom copywriting services. However, I can provide some tips, suggestions, and recommendations, as well as light copy-editing.

However, the Seed ‘Website Copy Guide’ is included with every new website package. This guide will help you write your own website copy (the text on your website).

  • When your site is complete and ready to be handed over to you, we'll have a virtual 1-2 hour handover (via Zoom). You can also record the handover, for future reference to assist you with any changes you'd like to make to your site.

    The handover includes:

    • Website tutorial: learn how to make changes and updates to your site

    • Domain registration/connection/transfer: guidance and assistance with registering, connecting and/or transferring your existing or new domain to your new site

    • Email: assistance with setting up and connecting your existing or new email address to your new site

    • Subscribe: assistance with the Squarespace subscription process

    • Ask questions: obtain information regarding your site and its functioning

    • Final revisions: any final tweaks or changes you'd like done to your site

  • Following the handover, your new primary and secondary logos (also known as branding assets) will be emailed to you in transparent png format.

You'll be able to use them across your marketing (i.e., flyers, business cards, letterheads, etc).
